Looking for a quick way to turn a picture into a cartoon in one tap? Or perhaps you want to utilize a combination of drawing tools with photo effects and stickers to cartoon yourself online for free? Either way, there are a few ways to achieve a cartoon effect on your image. You can look for a photo to cartoon free app or you can cartoon yourself online, using editing software like PicsArt. PicsArt has a bunch of one-touch cartoonifying effects (think cartoon filters) that make it super easy to turn your photo into a cartoon. The best part? You can do all of these cartoon edits in one editing software!

You don’t need to be a trained artist to turn pictures into cartoons. And no, you also do not need a fancy cartoon picture maker either. To create a cartoon photo, you just need PicsArt and the tutorial below! Looking for a software to cartoon yourself online for free? Here’s how to do it on the PicsArt web tools:  

Step 1) Open the PicsArt Editor online. Click on Upload on the left panel to select a photo from your hard drive to cartoonize or search from PicsArt’s free-to-edit photo library below it.

Step 2)  Scroll through the Effects options to select which Magic effect you want to apply. Almost all of the Magic effects will work to create a fun cartoon photo. We like Soul, Pow, Animation, and Neo Pop for cartoon picture makers. Click on Adjust and Blend above your photo workspace to manually adjust the effects (fade, saturation, brightness, color burn, etc). 

Step 4) Once you are happy with your new cartoon photo effect, click Share and Download from the top right corner of the editor to complete your cartoon photo project and share with your friends.

Looking to create on the go? Here’s how to create a cartoon photo by editing in the PicsArt app:

Step 1) Open the PicsArt app and tap the + icon at the bottom of the screen. Select a photo to cartoon from your camera roll or search from PicsArt’s free-to-edit photo library in the search bar at the top.

Step 2)  Tap Effects on the bottom toolbar. Scroll across and tap on Artistic to open up a variety of artistic effects and tap on Cartoonizer to instantly add a cartoon feel to your photo. Tap and hold on the Cartoonizer effect again to manually adjust the cartoon picture maker effect to your liking.

In addition to the Cartoonizer effect, you can also try almost all of the Magic effects (select Magic in the Effects toolbar to access them). We like Badlands, Soul, Pow, Animation, and Neo Pop for cartoon picture makers.

Step 4) Once you are happy with your new cartoon photo effect, tap Apply to save.

Step 5) Tap Next in the top right corner of the editor to complete your cartoon photo project and download and share it with your friends on social or with the PicsArt community.
